Valerie Wall : The Reality of Nature (26 Nov - 3 Dec)

Oct 3, 2016

This exhibition will feature a new body of work from artist Valerie Wall, in acrylics and watercolour, inspired by botanical and marine life.

Valerie paints in various forms, ranging from landscapes to detailed botanical and marine life. She also works with interior designers, painting frescoes, as well as designs on flooring, walls and furniture.

Born in Scotland, Valerie Wall now lives and paints in Devon. She has previously lived and worked all over the world, including Vancouver, London, Berlin, Paris, Rome and France.

Having studied history of fashion at the Glasgow Royal Academy, she then worked as a fashion designer in London. After fifteen years, she left the world of fashion to return to her great passion – art.

She has exhibited in the UK, France and the US and has been commissioned to paint furniture frescoes and flooring. She has also worked on projects in a number of French Chateaux and has featured in many international Interiors magazines.

“I have a passion for creating”, explained Valerie, “I love detail, which explains why I am so inspired by botanical and marine subjects like fish and shells. Every fish is fascinating, each one is unique and different. I am captivated by nature and obsessed with recreating the patterns I see. “

Open 10am - 5pm, free admission.

The Private View will take place on Saturday 26 November, 3 - 5pm.
